The Alchemist Meeting

Post by moltovir »

Recently I've started experimenting with the Alchemy skill (I should be ashamed for ignoring it for almost 6-7 months, although it was one of my minor skills), and I've discovered that creating potions and discovering new ingredients is one of the best things morrowind has to offer. I'm always searching for better combinations to use, and that's where I need your help. I've made up some personal role-playing rules for myself in morrowind, to keep the game as realistic as possible. These include not using Fortify Intelligence, buying hundreds of ingredients from the same merchant, or searching the internet for potion recipes. Still with my head in the world of Morrowind, I figured out that a 'Telvanni Alchemist Meeting' wouldn't break that rule, so that's the purpose of this thread: share all your experiences in the Alchemy skill and your self-discovered potion recipes with the rest of your fellow mages :)

THE TELVANNI ALCHEMIST MEETING: RULEBOOK

1) Participating alchemists must either be loyal to Great House Telvanni, or clever enough to maintain a believable false identity.
2) This is a roleplaying thread: answer and post like you would when you'd be in Tamriel. Instead of saying "my skill and intelligence are really low", say something like "I am still an apprentice in the art of alchemy and have trouble concentrating myself on my work".
3) The only subject of this meeting is alchemy. All aspects of alchemy can be discussed in the meeting, but anything else will not be allowed
4) A unicum in the history of Great House Telvanni: with 51% of the votes, the Telvanni Council has agreed to a proposal that allows all races, including Argonian and Khajit, to join Great House Telvanni and thus participate in this meeting.
5) Humiliating, offending or insulting other participants of this meeting will not be tolerated, according to Our Most Honored Archmagister Buck Satan the First's Rulebook.

The purposes of this meeting:

-To our regret we are all mortal beings. The first purpose of this meeting is the sharing of all information regarding alchemy with others, both experienced alchemists or apprenti, so that our knowledge may be transferred from generation to generation to withstand the time, until the end of days.
-The second purpose is gathering and ordening all information regarding alchemy recipes.
-There are children born every second, and foreigners entering the world of Morrowind every day. If we want to keep our knowledge, we must tutor these apprentices in the art of alchemy and magery, so that the secrets of this art are not lost together with their creators.

Any violators of this rules will be judged, and possibly punished by Our Most Honored Archmagister Buck Satan the First's Telvanni Moderator Guards.

Some of my own recipes:
Invincible Man
Ash Yam + Dreugh Wax + Shalk Resin + Large Kwama Egg:
Fortify Health, Fortify Strength

Lucky Restore
Corkbulb Root + Corprus Weepings:
Restore Health, Fortify Luck

Wrath-of-Egg, this is a thread for sharing potion recipes and ingredients in a roleplaying fashion. If you don't want to do that, please, don't interrupt somebody else's thread, or their attempt to have legit fun on our boards. Thanks.

Guar Hide if my memory serves me..(being an old Telvanni really pushes on the mind), gives you foritfy luck, get enough of them and make it into a potion and presto your luck will soar through the roof enabling you to do anything and be lucky at it..now where did i leave it..i know it's here somewhere...and don't worry about those measly mages from the mages guild...i'm sure they won't notice their alchamy set has gone from the Caldera guild..heh..those were the days..

- Kavu Kamahl (my characters name in Morrowind)
