Yuan-ti language - does it make sense?

Post by Brynn »

Maybe i'm not the first to notice it, but the things that the Yuan-ti say (Dragon's Eye, lvl3) actually make some sense if the letters are mixed.

For example:

Em phle! --> Help me!
Yemen dhenid --> Enemy hidden
Dica swa i --> I saw (?) acid, same for fire and electricity
Ni gicam use --> use magic (?)
and so on.

I figured that their sayings are a reaction to my attack, e.g if I drop a Fireball, they say the "Erif swa i" thing, etc.

Do you think it has any significance in the game? Or simply the producers couldn't come up with a better idea for creating the yuan-ti language? :D

I don't think it of any significance. How much does it help you that a yuan-ti said he saw fire. And they wouldn't put any plot important info in such speech, just for the impossiblilty to read every thing any given creature exclaims.

But the producers might have put some jokes in. And give them a break. Not easy to invent a new language

OK, got the message - nobody cares :p :)
Yeah, obviously it doesn't help the plot, so it's really all the same. But at least I can say that I was the one to notice it :p

Oh, rubbish. :)

First off: Wrath-of-Egg I would like to say that Julian is my brother and he is a boy. So than that is clear but yeah it could be a girls name.

ok since this post started of with something that has no significance then I can continue:

Has the yuan-ti language helped some here in the game. Didnt help me so I dont think it will help someone else. I think that gameproducers must be allowed to have some fun when they create something. They probly put it in so people like us can find it and have something to post on a forum.

Explanation

Just remember the yuan-ti are a result of human and snakes. It is only logical that there speech is similar to our own.
In memorian: Fiona; Ravager; Lestat; Phreddie; and all of those from the 1500 incident. Lest we forget.
