Looking for help with Neverwinter Nights

Can anyone tell me what function I need to perform in order to "put an item" in a chest so it opens the gate to the Never Tombs. I have tried to drop the item, but it goes on the ground. I have tried to "equip" the item but that does not work either. So how do I "place" or "put" a item into the chest? Thanks in advance for any help. First off, this is a board. That means, you have the courtesy to use it for posting, rather than as a drop-off point for messages.

Second, you could at least have looked around and get the feel of the place, before posting. Then, you would have noticed that you posted your question in the wrong forum.

Well... ever tried simply clicking on that chest?

Since then the chest inventory should come up - and you can drag&drop the desired item into it right from your own inventory... =/
