game crash

Post by Tripaphonic »

Hi fellow vamps. I have been anticipating this game since I loved the first one so much. I got it today and when I double click the desktop icon to start the game it takes about 2-3 min to actually do something and when it does it kicks out an error screen. The game never starts. I have a Radeon 9800XT video card so it will definitely handle the load. My processor is only a 1.7 P4. I have 3 sticks of 256mb RAM. I just updated the 11.12.04 version of my video drivers and installed directX 9.0c. The same thing happens. Long long wait then crash without ever starting. Any ideas?

Thanks.

oh, I'm on XP pro too.

Did you check out the readme and go to the developers' website, to see if they have any similar complaints?

I checked out the Documentation file that installs with the game and looked around at the solutions it offered. There are no solutions. The only thing is says is there may be conflicts with the game because of some copying prevention they placed in it but that should not effect me. Not sure what to do now.

Try feedback, here. I'm having difficulty finding an Activision or Troika forum on this. Was there no mention made in the docs or a readme file about online techsupport?
