So whos Nameless One

I had this question after playing The Game back in year 2000 and still have after i completed game again today. I cant sleep w/o answer thos this Q. So who the hell Nameless One is, whats his real name? One of my most original guesses was that he is that Power (i dont remember its name) Lady of Pain "killed" then it tried to enter Sygyl. So she didnt really kill it but rather took away its immportality.

What do you guys think or do you know right answer?

i know what you mean, it plagued me for awhile, even after i found out he doesn't REALLY have a real first name, and as much as it's sort of cool i also hate the fact that you can't in the end solve his one true mystery, what is his name..
