Umar Hills & Chapters

Who the heck do I talk to to open up the Umar Hills area and when you move from chapter to chapter can you go back and complete quests??? Also, is there any way short of a restart to get down to the Ghoul lord area to complete the rift device quest if you fought your way in and didnt get the key& Thanks.

Hang around the Copper Coronet in the Slums to "open" the quest. Yes, you can return to finish quests in that area, later in the game.

Go to the Government District, at about the middle of the map there's a boy call Delon, talk to him to get the Umar Hills quest.

If you have already got the half from the God Amuator(?), then I don't think you need a key to go down to the Ghoul lord area. Just go down the pit to the left of the entrance to the Sightless Eye place.

Have heard warnings to speak with pit guard (after obtaining the 1st half of the rod and getting pathphrase from Sassar) before fighting the cult in upper level. Explanation was you would never "know" about the path or it wasn't open, so the way was not activated. Not sure, though, i've always spoken with .

I Killed everyone in the upper level of the cult area then I got the first part of the rift device from the fading god, Well actually I killed everyone except one guy who kept running away and laughing at me, didnt get his name and havent seen him since dispite several visits back. cant get into the pit, cursor doesnt even indicate that there is an exit there!

So are there other quests like this in the game where we have to rely on spoilers or the quest cant be finished??????? I know, I know there was probably a couple words in a conversation 20 or 30 game days or saves ago but I dont remember one and I usually pay pretty strict attention!
