Duel or Two Weapons?
Yes I have a question I currently have a lvl 8 soldier/7or8 light side guardin with two-weapons becuase a friend told me with the extra 2 crystal slots you can do some sweet damage. It is true, but I was wondering how good a single weapon is becuase i always wnated to be a single lightsaber jedi, good or evil I don't care, but you can add your prefrence. One last thing are Star Forge robes better than Darth Revan's robes becuase I might make an evil jedi guardin cause' I think the robes Revan was wearing in the vision were kick ass.

Hello there!
To answer ur 1st question in numerical terms, you can read the strategy guide provided in this website. Someone actually did some number crunching.
Duel gives a higher attack rating (+3 at master level). Double-wield at best gives a 0/-2 with double-bladed lightsaber. However, an extra attack is, after all, an extra attack. When you say the extra 2 crystalslots does damage, that is debatable. After all, the extra damage comes mainly from the fact that double bladed weapons hits twice a turn.
The arguement is that the probability of scoring a hit with duel is better. This is especially so if you stack with speed and flurry. I agree. Can;t argue with mathematics. However, don't forget that probability is based on an aggregate, rather than individual battles.
I have tried dueling and double wield. To me, I can't bring myself to complete the game with a single weapon after seeing what the double wield can do. Yes, there are a few times where i see 4 "misses" with speed and flurry. But, most of the time, I see 4 hits with damage "30s" and "40s". That cleaned out the arrogant bounty hunter in 2 turns. Yes, the penalty for defense means that double wielders take more hits. But I think the aim of any battle is to take them out before they can take you out. Hitting 120 - 160 damage per turn is rather fun.
Morever, with speed, you can get 3 hits from force jump. That will really give unsuspecting enemies a run for their lives.
I hope I gave you a glimpse into what the comparison is truelly about.
regarding your question about the robes. I think the Star Forge robes and Darth Revans are evenly matched. There are differences. However, I must say that
Spoiler
Malak is very resistant to force powers. Even with a +5 to wisdom, dont expect to score a force wave or a stasis. In fact, try puttin on valor and speed at the same time. You will be surprised that Malak will cancel out all ur advantages easily. So why waste time? To me, if you are not going melee against Malak, Darth Revan's robe has at least the regen factor. But that also does not add much help. Dun forget, these 2 robes are only good for taking on Bastila and Malak. It comes way too late in the game.

In the end, everything will be alright. If it is not alright, it is not the end.
To add, dual weapons is so much more geared towards offensive that it's unbelievable of the differences between the damage output of the two styles. There is the advantage of having a better defense and hit probability with individual hits for a dueling style. However, a high dexterity rating along with master speed and flurry can easily make the difference overlookable.
The look of the Eyeless is fear.

Hrmm yes, but the regen factor isnt that great, I mean the sith mask is almost as good. Two Lightsabers grow on you, I played Star Wars: Jedi Academy with two sabers and they look awesome there and KOTOR. Of course on Academy I suck with double sabers and I rock with single, but KOTOR is an RPG so I can suck with double sabers in Academy and be good with it on KOTOR. Those 2 extra crystal slots do come in handy I was able to
Spoiler: beat Malak the first time you meet him on the Levithan without losing more than 16 hp, I mean I mopped the floor with him. Single saber does look awesome on paper, but with the bersitality of two sabers I can adapt to any situation.
