I am pretty excited that this game will be released this year, I enjoyed VtM:Redemption, though I would have liked to see some choices in which characters we (as players) could choose to play.
Anyway, does anyone know weather there will be a third person option in the new game (Bloodlines). I have seen a few posts that say either yes, or no, but I was curious if there had been anything released from the company that actually says one way or the other.
Third Person vs. First Person?

I don't think so, at least there have been a number of screenshots posted around gaming sites, and not one was of a third person view of the game, besides, i think i remember someone from the staff saying on some interview they chose 1st Person view because it can be more imersive than 3rd Person... but i could be wrong.
EDIT: Yes, there will be 3rd Person in Bloodlines, i just read about it, it seems that when you choose to use Ranged Weapons, you play in 1st Person, but if you equip yourself with a melee weapon you have yourself a (hopefuly) nice 3rd Person perspective.

I think it should be like Morrowind, and you should be able to toggle it on and off. If you have ever played Max Payn then you know you can have good gun combat in 3rd person.
Also whats the point of adding a new clothing thing to make all the cloths looks more real if you can never sit back and just look at you BA char in all his/her glory.

...And the end of development houses, who lose as much or more through pirated downloads as they make in sales. I know at least one development house that shut up shop in large part because of this.
Back to subject. I read a gee-whiz-wow review on Gamespy that was startlingly down on the combat, whether in first person or third person mode. The writer found it sluggish and repetitive. It will be interesting to see if any reviewers who take a more discriminating tone to the game also find combat less than successful.

Calm down. How long did you play it? What other RPGs have you played in the last several years that don't begin to approach it?
