Creeper's 1% margin--has anybody noticed?

Post by harfleur »

Alright, I admit I haven't checked all the posts to see if somebody else has posted this, but has anyone noticed that you can sell to Creeper for a 1% profit and buy at a 1% discount?

Maybe I was trying too hard to up my Mercantile skill, but I found that I could sell a 100 gp item to Creeper for 101 gp, and buy it back for 99. It doesn't seem like much, but with the mod that gives Creeper 1 million gp, you can start amassing some serious cash quickly when you bring in expensive items, like Indoril armor or what have you.

AND...you can sell him your gold for the same profit! If you've got 100,000 gp, it sure is an easy way to make 1000 by selling it to him for 101K.

Just my 2 cents...hope others can have fun with it.

Yeah--it's very old news. ;) Typically, I ignore the creeper. I also don't sell occupied soul gems, or potions I've made--it's all too easy, in a game that's full of cheese. But each to their own. :D
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
