I blew it! Unfortunately I let Coran get killed in the spider's den in cloakwood, and I had every intention on resurrecting him at the Temple. But it wasn't until I after I saved over my game that I realized he had dropped himself from my party!
I can see his dead body, but I can't pick him up. Is there a way to rejoin him? And bring him back to life?
Resurrecting NPC
if an NPC dies in an excessively violent way (explosion, loss of limbs, etc.) he can't be resurrected (because you need the whole body intact), so he'll disappear from your party. You can't get him back unless you reload from before he died.
If he's turned to stone, he'll disappear from your party but you can get him back using stone to flesh on his statue. But you said he died in the spider zone in Cloakwood, which probably means he just got beat to death. This means your only option to get him back (aside from cheating) is to load an earlier savegame. Check your autosave slot to see if you have one that still has him.

If he's dropped from your party and not turned to stone, he's gone: literally, disintegrated. Your best bet is to go back to your last save, which may be an autosave--since the game always saves before you enter a new area.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

i`m a noob, sowhat?
i just read (..now it`s black on white) if you keep reloading, the monsters will call in their friends and cousins. good for exp. ..but it *can* become hairy, too, thinking of "lower levels try to get good stuff by sneak/stealing". if you hate hordes try to keep a save-slot before auto-save(many lvl. dungeons)
