In my endless quest to try to fix my BGII game slow down problem I am going to try uninstalling and then do a full install of the game. I know that this should not affect your saved game files (and I will back them up to be sure). But here's my concern.
I have sold 95% of my unwanted looted items to Julov. When I reinstall the game is there a chance that these items will no longer be in his inventory in case I need to buy something back? Has anyone else tried this?

you might want to back up the cache file as well as the override file.
BTW it is better to sell your stuff to different merchants that way you do not loose out profit because they already have some of the items you are trying to sell them. It is always worth checking with more than one merchant as to their prices and stock
