Favorite Formations or "My screen is too small."

Post by Wayfarer »

What formation do you like to choose for your party?
I know certain situations may call to switch between them, but which one do you usually stick with?

Mine is 'Gather.'
Sometimes 'V.'

I have to admit to never paying attention to the formation I am using. I ususally use the triangular one, but that is only because in it the protagonist is well protected in it and I usually play a mage.
Vicsun, I certainly agree with your assertion that you are an unpleasant person. ~Chanak

Can you move TNO from the front of the formation? He is a mage and always getting killed too quickly.

No he is always in front in formations.
Once the battle starts, though, you can single him out and move him out of range if needed. Pause it, click on him, then click somewhere on screen out of range.

I did find a formation to protect TNO. It is the circle with him in the middle--called "Protect". The only problem with it is that it leaves Grace near the front.

Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah. Protect. Good job.
To move Grace to somewhere in back drag her portrait to another spot.
For example:

If Morte is in the back, click and drag Grace's portrait to Morte's spot on the portrait area.

Thanks, that helps. Grace is now in the back where she won't be attacked first.

I just use the default(i think it's default at least)

I never really thought about party formation in PS:T until I saw this thread. TNO is a mage in my party, but he made it all the way to level 7 at least don't really remember) as a fighter so he's in the front line with Vhailor. Next is Dak'Kon and the teifling, the in the back is Grace and Nordom. It's working well so far, but I haven't had Vhailor for long so I still don't know what he's really capable of.
