Spells that saved you time

Post by dj_venom »

****spoilers****

I want to find out whether people have had to go through similar experiences like mine.

I had reached the monastary and sent my paladin and rogue ahead to remove Aruma. Sure enough, I completed the quest with ease. After that I went about doing some of the other quests, saving with a quicksave repeatedly. Later, I discovered that Doron and another monk were stuck in a doorway.

My first plan was to charm one of them, but unfortunately I didn't have the spell memorized. Resting would have been simple, but my party members were scattered. After exporting and importing, I finally rested. When I tried to charm, it didn't seem to work. As I was about to give up, I got an idea. I cast a fear spell, and sure enough the doorway was freed.

I want to know if other people saved themselves from similar occasions.
In memorian: Fiona; Ravager; Lestat; Phreddie; and all of those from the 1500 incident. Lest we forget.

Why didn't you simply gather your party to rest...?
Btw, monks usually have high spell resistance (sleep and stuff like that rarely works on them).

My party was split, so when you try to rest, it says, cannot rest here, party is scattered

As for the resistance, it wasn't the monk who paniced, it was Dolon. By the time Dolon has gotten over it, the other monk had gone through the doorway.
