I never managed to complete that one either. The only tip I can give is dont bother with the corpses in the middle of the graveyard. Just shuttle back and forth between the two gates and kill every undead that is bashing the gate or heading towards it. Dont linger and use Melee weapons unless you're a good shot.

I went to the back gate once and killed everything there then just went and kept killing all the ones at the front gate until the timer finished, somehow they never managed to get out the back...

Easy!

Its easy heres what to do...get melee skill at least 5 and go to fat Larry's buy yourself the fire axe and beat them down. Run to the front gate clean house then to the back gate and then go to the front again! killing all the way and your done..i done it first time :)

Yeah, fireaxe is the way to go. And some celerity doesen't hurt either. In the end concentrate only killing those who already has arrived to the gates, kill them, run to the next gate ignoring the other zombies on your way there... rinse and repeat...

im using unarmed fighting, each zombie takes 2 hits to be dead.
its all fine until, lets say, 2 :00.
Then, i just cant kill all the zombies in time...
when im defending back gate....then the front is broken.
when i defend front gate, then the damn back gate is broken.

I don't *think* that there was any reward to be honest, possibly a masquerade redemption and I got to keep the gun I *think* can't remember exactly.

I tried it - failed - then reloaded and chose the other dialogue options. I went and got the guy a girl. You need high persuade for this - IIRC, I think mine was at least at 4 at this point in the game, maybe 5. You get the same amount of experience without all the aggravation.

if you have your heart set on completing it, ask him whatelse you can do to help when that dialouge option comes up. supposedly you can get him a whore and complete the quest by doing that as well :p

If you're female and hot enough, you can sleep with him to get that done as well. I think I had an appearance of 3 when that happened, and subterfuge of 3 (in case it was a seduction thing). Worked like a charm.

I played a female Ventrue with a high persuasion and seduction, so I'm not sure this would work for everyone, but here's how I solved it.

Tell him to stay there and you'll bring him a girl. Go find the nearest hooker and convince her to accompany you to the graveyard. It takes a bit of persuasion, but I *think* there might also be a dialogue option to dominate her into following you (assuming you are playing a Ventrue with Dominate.)

Bring her to the graveyard, he has his way with her, and then you get your experience and don't ever have to deal with any zombies! The best part was that aside from the experience, he gave me some tips on using a gun and I automatically got another point in firearms! I love free stat boosts!

Also, if you're female, you can just sleep with him. That will finish the quest as well, but if you sleep with him, he doesn't give you the tips on using a gun, so your best bet is to find him a hooker.

You can also kinda cheat the quest by going down behind the ginger swan mausoleum after the timer starts. Aparently you're far enough away from the gates that the zombies that would go for it never spawn. I discovered this accidently, because during the lull the first couple of minutes my first time through, I went down to her tomb for the tape and ended up lasting almost to the end. Then I failed it horribly the next half dozen times I tried to win it straight. So I came up with and succesfully tested my hide-in-the-corner tactic. Cheap, but effective.

I never went to the back gate. I just stayed at the front gate and sliced and diced them with my gangrel claws :D

I didn't even realize there was a back gate untill later after the quest was complete, so I don't think you have to worry about it. Just stay at the front gate and make sure you either shoot really well, or have a strong melee character :)

What's the other alternative besides killing zombies?

Quest: Pimpin For Romero
Offer to bring a lady of the evening to Romero
What's this about?
What's the other alternative besides killing zombies?

Quest: Pimpin For Romero
Offer to bring a lady of the evening to Romero
What's this about?
Basically you get to the point of agreeing, then say 'is there any other way I can help', then find out why he needed to go out, then you get the quest. I had pretty good persuasion, which might impact whether or not you can do this.

cheating

After spending 1 and a half hours trying to beat this it became an obsession. I played around with the console commands and discovered that you can kill the zombies from there. Just type in ent_remove npc_VZombie. Up-arrow displays your last line, so you can just repeat as needed until the system no longer reports 'removed npc_VZombie' then wait a bit for the next batch. I didn't count them all, but there must have been well over 100 of them, and towards the end they were spawning at over 1 per second. This is, obviously, a cheat

Doing it properly will require a *strong* melee character (need to kill them in 1 hit and I doubt you can afford the delays with ranged weapons) and Celerity is probably highly recommended too.

Didn't have any problems with this quest.
One clean headshot with a Brokk (large ammo clip) and a Celerity once in a while.
Just keep running from gate to gate and don't kill anyone in the middle/that isn't near the gate.
