Was hesitant to buy this rpg, but got it as a gift. Glad I did.
I just started the game last night. I've been trying to balance between good and evil, just wonderin if anyone knows if you can complete the story line with a neutral alignment, or what the perks are to goin evil/good.(spell cost looks like it one of them.)
Can you be Neutral the whole time?
Well, some spells are affected... Good spells who cost less in mana when you are good: Summon, Heal Life and Physical shield.
Evil spells, cost less when you are evil: Turncoat, Drain Life and I believe Beserk(?)
Though the evil spells are less powerfull.
Besides that, it's really not fun to be neutral, you miss out on the effects of being either. Like when you're good, and well known, people cheer, clap, greet you, say you are mighty and everything
. And you have you're own ray of sparkling blue sunlight shining down upon you, not to mention the shimmering halo when you stand still and the butterflies you attract.. Also, your face becomes friendlier, you're eyes really blue, you get 2 nice expression, and above all, your hair can grow white, or blond when you're an archer.
On the evil side, you grow huge black and red horns (!), you're eyes become a sinister red, you're harline receedes, you look really vile with huge eyes and stuff and blood drips down your face. Further more, dark bellowing clouds gather at your feet and flies seem to like you very much and drive the butterflies away........ And oh yes, people scream and run from you, mostly the kids give a nice effect...
