Killing Emma and Nym ?

Post by Iliphar Nelnuve »

Hello!
Let's say I kill Emma Before the fortress or Nym in the wandering village, do they re-appear in HOF? (The point is that you can get the gold AND the blade from Emma, and that Nym drops 2 magic shortswords (+2 & +3), a ring of invisibility, and a protection cape +1 .... not so bad for kills with simple chromatic orbs ?!? :p

***Spoiler***

You don't have to kill Emma to get the moonblade. If you refuse the reward she offers you, then she gives it to you and you xp for it.

As far as HOF mode, I don't see why they wouldn't return. I mean, you're just playing the game again but on a much harder level.

See now that's got me thinking about stopping by on the way back from the Goblin Fortress to go on a little killing spree (Emma, plus the two folks you save on the first map).

I did stop by and killed off the two that you saved on the first map. Got some nice xp from the girl (900 xp, I think) nothing really good in the way of items dropped. Tried to take out Emma, but she teleported after the first hit.

Ha, of course, sorry I forgot to tell you that in order to kill Emma, the first thing to do is to cast a chromatic orb (level 5 for stunning effect). In case you can cast 2 just to be sure.. ;-)

Actually, I managed to kill Emma by using Stunning Fist (I'm soloing a Monk), however, she never appeared as a threat and I got no xp for it. Oh well, I decided to let her live wounded for now.

I played a Drow cleric. I did the quest, but decided to kill her for the fun of it. She teleported out of the fight, but . . . (Spoiler :)
she reappeared in Shaengarne Ford with a warrior of virtue and Kristian Dale, and it became the hardest fight since the Palisade. No moonblade, but I didn't want it anyway. She dared to call my Drow a pig for trying to kill her. The audacity!
