When pushing the buttons to get to lvl 5 i accedently pressed Circul button, Red wheel, medium lever. And i t gave me 100000 xp, this doenst say in the walktrhough. Or if it does it's not with the rest of the machine codes.
I don't know which walkthrough you consulted, but extra experience is one of the standard effects if you select a random combination. If I recall correctly, I once received 100,000 experience points twice in a row, but I was probably just lucky.
There are notes to be found within the dungeon. The notes detail what combination to press to get a positive effect. AFAIR, there's no way to get the same beneficial effect twice.
Vicsun, I certainly agree with your assertion that you are an unpleasant person.~Chanak
Allow me to clarify what I said earlier. If you select a random combination (one which is not known to produce any particular effect), usually something quite bad will happen. But if you're lucky, you might receive 100,000 experience points.
I just did a Google search and found the following chart that explains what happens when you select a random combination:
10% chance to gain a Potion of Superior Healing.
10% chance to get 100,000 experience (only for whoever used it)
10% chance to become Imprisoned (bad if it's your main character)
10% chance for 50 fire damage
10% chance turned to stone (bad if it's your main character)
10% chance to lose 1 INT
10% chance for 75 lightning damage
10% chance to be poisoned
10% chance to lose 15 levels
10% chance to lose 1 DEX
I can't vouch for the accuracy of the chart, but it does seem to be correct.
The machine Lum in Watcher's Keep can be used several times to get 100 000 xp. Quicksave first then just press three buttons, if it goes bad, load and try again. Eventually you should get a couple of 100 000 xp. I think i leveled up like 3-4 times this way
Probably, i have to try several times before i get it again..and again... and again but it should work after some time. Try again after you've gotten all +1 on your charestics points and quicksave before you start and then just reload when you get something bad. Let me know how it goes.
