but to actually go through the game you gotta do 'good' deeds. you can't really be evil. i did kill gorion before though. but the game ended. see what i mean ?!?!
I gotta try that, that is hilarious...
Just for giggles I quicksaved and then I unloaded a fireball right into a thick of tavern patrons...that was pretty funny.

I've gone through as a Chaotic Neutral Bard that I played as kinda, I'll do whatever you want as long as you pay me. And if someone got in my way they went down hard. I didn't go around killing everyone because then you get no quests and no cash, my character played it smart. And no regard for the law. Can't forget that part.

well..
f. ex. Muhlay (the cobold king; didn`t he had a guest app. in Ninja Mut..nm)
when he is dead, my good fellows dreams smth like. they denie to kill him, he slips through your body leaving something "good" behind (a lousy spell)
while my black knight just dreamed like: Muhlay? again? ..and then try to kill him again, what fails (kill a dead..) and the daggars (those/this of bone) become 5 [what was baal up to with..nm, again] and smash right into your.. you wake up. noone has to speak of a lesson, here ...beNEATH

Yeh, in BG1 the Bhaalpowers and dreams are different if you are Evil/low reputation (I don't recall what the exact specifics are).
lol, kill Gorion? How do you do that? And how much experience do you get for doing that?
It is possible to kill Gorion but I don't really think anyone could kill him without cheats (well, boosting XP...). When he dies the game ends.

The problem is that the people with the most ridiculous ideas are always the people who are most certain of them.
I would'nt advise being evil for your first save as getting mercenarys after you when your lv1. So you should import a strong character from another save, THEN go evil
Uh, what do you mean by getting mercenaries after you when you're lvl1 ? Afaik it's not about alignment it's about reputation.

Running an evil party is a fine line between being a complete murderous bastard and maintaining enough reputation so that the law doesn't try to kill you every screen you enter. I usually find a Rep of 4-5 is pretty reasonable, and you don't have to put up with Scarlet Fist mercs all the time.
Although, when you get powerful, it is fun to kill off a dozen mercs without raising a sweat!

Evil parties are hard to play with due to the lack of evil quests early on, but as you get farther in the game there are more of them. Especially in the city of Baldur's Gate. Some of the dialogues that result in you killing somebody, no matter what your alignment is, also have an evil route. "I'm gonna just kill you for fun" (Evil) as compared with "For all that is good and righteous I must end your sorry existence" (Good).
