Nosferatu

Post by meanie »

- started to play the game with a Nossie .. first thing i do is talk to the guy in the street that you can get money and his watch from .. he freaks and calls the police after a few moments .. i've gone further in the game than this

- my question is .. has anyone finished it with a Nosferatu and how did you find it playing this character ?

- i'm wondering because i dont see how you could complete alot of simple quests due the fact you have no persuasion or seduction happening with the Nosferatu (example : the food critic guy .. i can only see this as an instant failure)

Umm, actually the food critic guy is easier to "persuade" when playing a Nosferatu than when playing any other character. I won't spoil it for you, but trust me on this one (it's funny as hell).

I am currently on my way to the Giovanni mansion as a Nosferatu and I have yet to find a quest that I cannot play. I'd strongly advice investing in stealth immediately. Sure, sure, with obfusticate you may think that you don't need it, but stealth can make it so you don't drain blood points nearly as fast. Also, use the sewers. Initially they are confusing, but they are a very good way of getting around (much easier on your framerates than the streets).

You will not be able to seduce, but you can, in certain cases, persuade. Intimidation also works well. Reactions can be really fun. You will also get a Nosferatu haven once you complete Gary's quest (just did that).

Stealth is the key.

Hope that helps.

The thing to remember is that your appearance IS a Masquerade violation. Try going stealthy, or use Obfusticate on the street. Move near someone and keep an eye on the upper right hand corner of your HUD. You'll see a little Masquerade Icon appear along with a pointer. This means you are in danger of violating the Masquerade and the pointer indicates the direction the danger is coming from.
