Ming Xiao help

Post by Xeen »

I'm on level 3 or 4, I'm not sure. I killed everyone there, took the four jaded figurines. I probably need to put them on the pillars. I did, and nothing happened. There's also a switch hidden in the level, and also I have no idea what it does. How to get past this? I'm really frustrated here.

- when you take the statues .. the post they are on is the same post you must place them on inside the circle .. also there are simple animal images on the walls of each of theses semi rooms where you get the statues ..

- OuterParadise already mentioned exatcly where they need to go .. after thats done, just jump into the pretty glowing circle and await an even tougher puzzle

- hidden switch .. sorry i dont remember seeing one .. if i did find and hit it, i dont remember it doing anything great ..

I, too, could use some help.

Can anyone tell me the best wat to get past the flaming crossbowmen that are protecting the statues? I just can't seem to get past 'em to get to the statues. I try taking some of them out with Vision O' Death, and that helps, but I just can't seem to reduce enough of their numbers in order not to die. Any suggestions would be welcome.

My great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great grandpa was named Malkav too!

Flaming heck

if you look carefully, you can get a ranged shot in on the crossbowmen without going past the pillar - the slits that allow the blades (turned off by the secret switch) also allow bullets to go through the wall!

if the shooters are in the right places you can take them out without exposing yourself to any shots at all. if they are not, it is better to sneak, take a single shot and sneak back. it takes time, but because the ammo for the crossbows requires them to be near the crucibles, they tend not to leave the end rooms to come after you. if your stealth is good you can get sneak kills in on all of them or at least improve the odds - what you mustn't do is get in the crossfire between the two rooms - you go down really quickly.
feeding is useful to recover the damage taken.
