Super stalker or just a bug?

My 22th level stalker do quintiple damage with backstab. Is it a bug or it's normal?

I believe Valygar started doing x 4 damage in a party a recently aborted. Not sure of his level. The ToB manual states no changes, though.

Maybe he got a critical hit too?

Not sure what you mean, here. Do you suggest that this is why the damage got so high? Actually, the multiplier shows in the text window. I do not remember if he got a critical hit but this should hardly impact the multiplier anyway.

Yeah, when my PC backstab, I see "BACKSTAB QUINTIPLE DAMAGE"

Crit on a backstab is pretty nice though! <---Not that that's relavent to this topic.

What exactly does 490 points of damage do the victim of that strike. It goes way beyond the little chunks that fly around the screen for a few seconds. Man, I don't think you could do 490 points of damage to a gibberling in a blender.
