Velvet - Hatter quest bug?

got the quest from velvet to persuade hatter into giving me the manuscript he's been working on

but when i enter the luck.e star hotel, i cant talk to him. no "you may talk to this person" icon appears. talked to him earlier , before i met velvet.

bug or ?

Very strange. I have never had problems talking to David (even when playing a Nosferatu). Have you tried reloading?

yeah tried reloading, and loaded the save before that

when i first arrived in hollywood, after talking to him, i sucked some of his blood.

maybe that has something to do with it?

Yeah, sucking blood off those ppl seems to cause that problem...
I remember doing the same thing on Kilpatrick and couldn't do anymore quests for him, forcing me to revert to an older save.

I had this same exact problem. I sucked on his blood after I got the {spoiler}
junk brother's card from an earlier quest.

I found that if you just ignore him for awhile he "resets" and you can talk to him. Come back to that quest later.

I did about 5 more quests, and he just stands there and there is no talking icon. I put him in a trance cause im Tremere and tried to brainwipe him to no avail. I dont want to have to go to before I ****ed with him cause Ive done so much since then hoping itd go away.
