I say, that's EXACTLY where Minsc kept hidden Boo when you get captured at the very beginning of BgII - SoA :D

Judging by the position the loot shows up when the dragon starts toppling over, I'd say he sh*ts it out as a reflex action. What Firkraag was doing with a holy greatsword up his ass is anyone's guess.
