Hawk Battle
Hawk Battle
I'm having trouble with the Hawk battle after leaving Taris. Can't seem to shoot down all the enemies before I blow up. Any hints? I'm just using a mouse.
Try start pressing fire while the battle sequence is loading, that would usually net a few easy hits before the enemy figthers scatter.
Also - use the keyboard to turn the turrent around and just use the mouse to aim.
Don't use the mouse to turn the turrent - it is way slower then the keyboard.

you mean the Hawk can blow up? I thought Davik said that the shields were completely impregnable?!
I dunno abt the PC, but the xbox version I play seems that no matter how many times the snub fighters hit the Hawk, it never goes bad... I thought the shields chart was for deco only...
I also usually press the fire button like mad before the game begins, usually get 2 or 3 of the fighters down. I use the radar more than the screen... seems to work better.

In the end, everything will be alright. If it is not alright, it is not the end.

hee hee it must just be easier on the xbox to turret fight, I've never even noticed the shield bar flicker, I thought it was just for decoration lol.

I've played the Xbox version thru and yes the Ebon Hawk can be destroyed. However if it comes to this you shouldn't even be playing the game cause you must really suck.

But, funny little birds, they had no wings!
O what shall we do with the funny little things?

If you'd checked earlier threads in this forum, you'd find that quite a few people have had problems with the arcade portion of the game--and it's not, as you so eloquently phrased it, because they "suck," but because they find arcades boring and don't play 'em. Anybody is entitled to play KotoR, and if they want, we'll give 'em all the help we can.

Many people have posted that they feel the arcade side-game doesn't fit the RPG genre. I suspect it was added because that's more typical of console RPGs. PC games have almost always separated these genres. This puts PC players at a disadvantage. And as you note, thinking has nothing to do with arcade playing.
