Undead can't dance....

Post by Jandau »

....or can they? I've had half a dozen characters by now (finished the game with two) and every time any of them would try dancing in a night club, everybody around him would stop and walk away. Now, I'm guessing my character sucks badly when it comes to the art of motion, but I was wondering is it possible NOT to mess this up? Which stats determine this? Or are vampires stuck with a lousy sense of rythm?

Is your character a Nosferatu by any chance ? That would explain why everyone walks off the dancefloor. It doesn't haoppen to my Brujah, he's quickly becoming the center of attention, even though all he does is that stupid New Wave dance from the eighties. If you'd try to dance like that yourself, you'll be knocking other people senseless. :D

You go into a club, walk on the dance floor and you should see an icon for dancing. Just press E....

Whenever I start dancing, everybody walk away. It's a bit embarasing, to be honest. It happened to my Tremere, Malkavian, Brujah, Ventrue, Gangrel and Toreador. I have yet to try a Nossie....

Once you start dancing, wait about a minute. Everyone will soon crowd around you, as others have stated here.

Sometimes I've found if there are too many people dancing already, the dancers try and forma circle around you to dance with you.. All mush mush and joy over your amazing looks and.. If your like me.. Activated Presence... But will bump into each other and both try and take the same route around each other.. Hey presto, all the dancers end up on the other side of the room as they clash trying to reach me.
After a while they usual sort themselves out eventualy, however by then I need to activate presence again.. Tsk tsk tsk, the mortals should KNOW by now that it costs blood in this game to use presence, and blood comes from them... Many of my "Murder on the Dance Floor" moments have been caused by a lack of blood from dancing with Presence.. Foolish Kine, when will they learn?

I felt really self-concious the first time I started dancing at the confession and everyone stopped and walked away...so self-concious in fact that I started gunning everyone down with my anaconda!!! Of course I had to reload the game after that, but it was worth it simply to dance around a pile of dead bodies. It just felt so right...

I blame society for the joy we can take out of shaking our money makers over the cold bodies of innocent, gothy looking mortals.
