I have beaten it....31 hours on difficult.
I bought the game tuesday morning and played it nonstop until i beat it wednesday night. I completed it dark side. Am interested in talking to others who have beaten it, and am more than willing to offer advice to anyone struggling through.
It's actually probably closer to 40-45 hours. I rushed through, using master speed to get me places faster and working smarter to not have to go back into places i've already been very often. It's definately longer than the first, I just beat it quickly.
So the game is longer then what you played ?
hehe.... well - seriously - this means that you skipped some parts, and - based on simple calculations; many parts?
Seeing as you esitmate the gameplay to be such a large percentage longer then your actual playtime. (And normally actual playtime is longer then gameplay-time due to save/load, stuck, going the wrong way and so on)

As far as I know, I completed my of the challenges, if not all. I did rush through the game however because I was excited to beat it. Several things to make your gameplay faster: I "A" buttoned through all the dialog because i'm able to read it three times faster than they speak it and there is A LOT od talking in this game. Also, if you explore everything in an area and talk to everyone and kill everyone possible, then you might not have to go back there again. IE: KOTOR 1, how on Taris, you could actually take out a couple of the bounties before you even talk to the Hutt, then when you reach him you just collect!! All in all, the game was at least 10 hours longer for me than the first one. It also depends on the gamers level of gameing. I have read several posts on all the sites about people being on Peregus after 10, 12, even 15 hours. There is nothing special about Peregus, and no reason to be there that long unless you are a slow gamer. I received my lightsaber *spoiler* on Dantione after defeating Master Vrook at about 11 hours, and that was my THIRD planet.

Currently playing
I am currently playing Light side. 10 to 15 hours on Peragus? It's not that interesting. I will say this, and this is just my opinion, I could be wrong, but I'm having more fun with this one than I did the fisrt, and I'm loving the way they did some of the new stuff ( for those of you who don't like spoilers, I won't give any, me? I don't mind spoilers, I like hints to a game), if you want to know what I'm talking about, so far, drop me a message. If ANYBODY has any hints, suggestions, whatever to make the game easier, more intersting, what to watch for, stuff like that, please let me know.
Bioware certainly knows how to improve a game. I would play more tonight, but it's my hubby's turn to play tonight, poor thing has to work in the morning
Thank You Thank You Thank You Thank You a million times over for anyone who can help me
