I can't get him to become peaceful..when a charm spell runs out, he continues to attack
Tried about 5 times too. Any suggestions?

Try using the Ring of Human Influence - the one you get from the Circus.

Parak do you have ToB? If not find a psot from velvetfreak and check out his sig. He had a patch for it.

I spent ages trying to get the Glacius thing to work; I think its bugged. In the end I just gave up and killed him.

first of all turn the AI off then use the ring of human influence, dont control him just let him where he is until he became neutral

Turn AI on and off by pressing "A" or clicking the "lantern" shaped icon in the lower right corner of the screen (right next to the "select all" icon).
