Hi, I need some help here. Or at least if it can be helped
I realize that there are already several threads about this quest, and I have looked them through, but they all seem to be adressing what steps are needed to complete it.
My problem however is entirely different. I know what to do, but seeing as I am playing as an Argonian - who has the racial ability "water breathing" - I cannot drown, left unable to continue the quest
Is this an "oops" from the developers, or is there some other odd way for me to disable the water breathing and drown? Or will I have to abandon the whole Temple faction part of the game and find something else to do?
Thanks. And merry X-mas!

Oh my! ROFL!!! Sorry, I read your post and it gave me a real giggle.
I hope somebody here can help you, I have a nasty feeling it could be an oversight on the part of the developers. Come to think of it, I'm not sure I have ever seen an Argnonian or Khajiit as a Temple member for that matter...
Are you on Xbox or PC? If the latter, maybe there is some kind of mod out there that can help you. I've never seen a mod dealing with this, but then again, I haven't looked either.
Good luck!

Hoo boy that is a tough one. If you're on pc there's 2 things you could try..
1. open the console by typing ~
then type player->set waterbreathing 0 (type the words together, no space between set and water..stupid filter))
if that doesn't work, I suppose you could go into the construction set under the top menu character then races and bring up argonians. There should be a box that sets special abilities. You would have to remove it from the list, its sp argonian breathing, save go back into the game finish the quest and then go back and reset it by opening the same menus, choosing argonian breathing in the option window on the left and readding it to the race.

Thank you for all the replies. And Dragon wench, I thought it was really silly as well when i first realized the paradox of the situation
I still cannot get any of the suggestions to work though
It is the PC version, but trying the se****erbreathing 0 does nothing, and removing the argonian water breathing with the editor also does nothing.
Wrath-of-egg, how long did it take you? I have waited in the water for 20 minutes now and she is still joyfully splashing around without a care in the world

First thing... You must be underwater all the time..
Second thing i got bored after 5 minutes so i just typed player-)sethealth 3
So in 1 sec boom and i could finnish that thing.. then after that set health 687.. to get it back to original.. (that is my original health)
