I was wondering about that too.
I was soooooo looking forward to using that too. Apparently he looses it during his come back when you raise him, he doesn't need it now as he says that without Bhaal's essence he doesn't need it to channel his powers or something...still doesn't meen you can't use it.

That suit gave like 100 percent magi resistance among others... and it was the coolest armour so far..

If you notice when you fight Bhaal in your dream he has the same armour as Sarevok and he is taller than you. So they probably removed the armour as it would make that person wearing it taller than they actually were when they were not wearing it.

lol, you will never have this armor :D - Sarevok in BG1 and Bhaal in BG2 use the same animation , but it is not standardanimation but custom one like Drizzt's, Ellesime's or Irenicus's .

Ain't the Sword of Chaos (Irenicus' Dungeon) Sarevok's original sword?

Yeah, but it has lost most of it powers, it even says so in the description. Same thing probably happened with the armour.. Although im sure the armour was at least a +1 full plate even after it lost its other powers

The designers really wanted to use Sarevok’s BG1 sprite (I've spoke to them about this on the official site). Unfortunately the graphic was old and never meant to be used for playable characters and is always equipped with a sword. Altering it to include every possible weapon selection as well as falling down and standing up animations (Sarevok only had an elaborate death animation) would have been too time consuming and so it was dropped.

Story wise, Sarevok didn’t discard his armor in the pocket plane, he just laments that it’s missing. In the BG1 end movie we see that it was all that was left after his body disintegrated after his death. It’s possible it's still in the Temple of Bhaal beneath Baldur’s Gate, though it’s my personal theory that the city officials put on display in the Baldur’s Gate museum.
Image
Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

Even as a god, I'd travel all over the continent to get my hands on that suit of armor!

that depends on how good or bad the armor is...heck, if tamoko's was +5 plate, then what was sarevok's?

If you use infinityengine, you see he got a 'normal' Full Plate +1. The magic restistance was more ore less in his blood. He lost that strength when he died. Thats my opinion...
