I think I screwed my game... (Spoilers)

I am still in Santa Monica, and I have not yet been upstairs to talk to Therese or Jeanette, because I didn't know that the bartender would send you upstairs until recently. In the meantime, I was exploring, and I entered and completed the Ocean House thing and got the pendant. Then, I returned to Asylum, and I went upstairs, and I can hear the sisters arguing, but when I enter the room, no one is there...

I think I may have made my game unbeatable from then on...so I don't know what to do, or how to fix this, and it would really be a pain in the ass to redo the Ocean House quest.

Help!

How did you reach the oceon house?
You need a key that one of the sisters gives to you to get there.

Just reload from an earlier game and try to do things as correctly as possible. This should take care of your problems. And even if you do have to do the Ocen House hotel again, it's not so bad. Heck, I've done it like 20 times, and for no better reason than to scare the crap out of my younger sibblings...lead by example(do you have a grandma?)
