Cutscenes under Mac OS X Version?

Post by txa1265 »

OK, I got Redemption for the Mac ($3.99 on eBay *including Strategy Guide!*) and it runs very well, and reminds me of many of the games from that era.

It has to run under 'classic', which is the older, non-Unix Mac OS, as it was released well before OS X came out.

One thing - the cutscenes don't seem to work, I can hear the dialogue, but don't see anything, I hit space and get forwarded to the next area. Anyone know about this? The 'video' folder has a bunch of *.bik files. Is there a way for me to manually play them?

Well, I was pointed to radgametools.com, who make a BIK player for many platforms ... got the OSX / OS9 Carbon version (OS X only didn't work) and it plays all the scenes ... now I'll just have to figure out which to play when ;)
