Favorite Character?(SPOILERS)

Post by showoffjp »

Who's your favorite character?

At first, it was a tie for me between Beckett and Nines, as they are both really cool guys. When Nines killed the werewolf, I thought he was the coolest, but by the end of the game, with Jack, I have to say he's now my favorite. Plus, he's a pirate. Rock on Jack!

For me it's Beckett. I'm studying to become an anthropologist and he's pretty much what I intend to be in several years (without the whole vampirism thing). He's a Gangrel, one of the coolest clans. And he's quite apolitical, not giving a damn who runs the show. Goes about his own business, and it doesn't matter to him wether Lacroix is in charge or the Anarchs are....

Come to think of it, I also considered Maxamillian, as I liked him too, but only when I played as a Tremere...

For me? Beckett or Jack

Beckett: The guy is a REAL laugh if you can keep him talking. Some of the things he says with such a distant, comical air are woundeful, and of course, I love his all things equal honesty "It's not that I don't love running head first into danger to suck up to the current local magistrate of the hour, but... Well, thats it exactly really."

Jack: Who doesn't love anyone who tells you that you can live off rat blood, tells you to give it a try, and when you come back is already laughing at you and pointing and saying "HHAAAA ha ha ha ha, RAT SUCKER!"
I was Diablorised once. I got better.

ohh, gotta love them

Beckett, his whole way of talking is really cool. Always that amused tone he uses when he talks, it´s wonderful.

Jack of course, his responses in the beginning is quite amusing especially Ratsucker... And like showoffjp said, he is a pirate..

Just finished playing the game as a female Malkavian - whee!

Favorite character: Jack, hands down. From the beginning there was this fraternal air about him, very much the big brother who keeps you sensible and alive until you can take care of yourself. I felt like he was my adopted sire, in a sense.

Next favorite: I think I liked Mercurio next, as he proved to be such a pal after all I did for him.

Third favorite: well, Nines is tasty, and wasn't that romantic to have him save my life periocally? ;) Of course, my husband is now amused. :D

I'm looking forward to playing through again as a different clan this time 'round - I can't imagine anyone having better dialogue choices than my Malk, though!

Cheers!

Gary, the Nosferatu. He had a relatively small role but the initial meeting was second only to Ocean House in spookiness.

Its a tough question since so many characters had terrific voice acting and were very well planned.

1) Jeanette Voerman "I'm sure we're going to get along just like fire horses"
2) Beckett "I am certain we'll meet again... or never again"
3) Smiling Jack "Hey messarach buddy, you dont talk much do you"
4) Gary Golden " Hey boss"
5) Damsel "I'll tie her eyelashes to her ass hairs and bowl her ass into a car compactor!"

And at last place Tseng from the herbal remedies shop in chinatown

Oh... and i bet Uncle Yokai is to be blamed for everything, He is up to something i tell ya! <Seems amused as his malkavian runs towards the big shark with an axe yelling "CHOP CHOP FISHY FISH!">

My favorite character was definitely Aleister Grout, even though we never actually got to meet him.

I really enjoyed chatting with chunk throught the game and SPOILER

------------------
I was really concerned about the dude after the sabbat struck the tower and blew part of it up. I actually felt relieved to hear the Tamale story.
-------------------

My favorite is probably the chinese arm's dealer as well... the guy just oozes personality.

Oh yeah, the "fortune teller" made me laugh out loud a couple of times too... most notably "your lucky numbers are 3, 22, 13, 54, 34, 13 and... uhm... 12".

minor NPCs

Well Johnny the Tong triad leader has his amusing 15 seconds.

*Johnny shoots at me as told, I show no reaction, that infuriates lil' Johnny quite a bit*

Quote(if my memory serves me right):
"WHAT?!? I SHOOT YOU! YOU DEAD!"

I couldn't argue about that. Made me smile.

Definitly the Voermans. The first time I played the game (awhile back, when the Haunted Hotel was scary instead of an annoying "Let's see how fast I can run through THIS time..."), I laughed my head off. Didn't have a clue about them until then. BRILLIANT.
Second is La Croix. He annoyed me to death, and I REALLY wanted to kill him eventually... Which means his character has been made perfectly. I've seen too many "Oh another bad guy with no personality"-stereotypes nowadays...
Anyone who knows what a Hemothorax is:
a) is watching to much Trauma on discovery channel
b) is a doctor
c) is completely obsessed by blood and wounds
d) is all of above

Heh, probably Lacroix. *spoilers* I mean, I knew the guy would turn on me eventually, but when he sent me to meet with Nines, and he was asking why Lacroix would want an alliance or whatever, I just stopped for a minute and was like... Yeah, why *am* I here? He was also the greatest liar in the game... Seemed pretty sincere most of the time. :D

Chunk as well. I just love hating the guy. But I am *never* using seduction to get past that ...thing again. Ugh. Kept calling me "Mooncake" or something and asking me to eat donuts with him whenever I went to see Lacroix.

You're right. Now I'm not at all sadistic (nudge nudge), but I loved killing that idiot...
