help, constant crashing really annoying

almost anytime i go through a door where it has to load, eg going to a differnt map, the game just minamalises, and takes ages to go back to normal, also sometimes it is really jerky, and its not like im using a crap computer, any ideas on how to fix all this??????????????????????

I've got something similar when loading coming back from the Leopold Society. But just there.

hmm..

First off, this is not a game that is meant to be alt+tabbed(minamized). It can slow down drastically on even the most powerful machines, taking a LONG time to get it back to normal, slowing down gameplay, etc. That accounts for why it is so slow.

Secondly, something is minimizing your game, whihc I believe to be a program in the background(I had a virus p[rogram that would do this every 5 minutes or so...gets really annoying). This can be easily fixed by simply just closing out all your your unused/uneeded background programms(cntrl+alt+delete...scroll over to processes; end anything you want to under your user name, except for explorer.exe). Once you have ended all the memory eaters and program minimizers, try running the game. If you've ended them like I said that should work. Another possibility(though you would have to be pretty dense to not notice, which I doubt), is you hitting the windows start button key(between the cntrl and alt keys). This minimizes your program, and causes the start menu to come up. Just another suggestion...

Oh, an that's a simple problem fixed by the latest patch, if you havn't already fixed it...
