My specialised sets are: ...cheap...

{Archers ranged combo} Physical Shield/Lightning/Multi-Arrow, great for stopping foes then move back and let them have it!
{The Sweeper} Physical Shield/Berserk/Enflame, basically untouchable.
{The Helper} Physical Shield/Ghost Sword/Summon, to even the numbers when I'm surrounded.

Physical Shield is a must have for me, I have no scars at all whatsoever.

Each time I have a fighter type hero I just use assassin rush and multi strike. But thats just how I play.

ok heres what i feel are the best magic combos

Physical warrior of any kind - Multi-Strike , Slow Time, Physical Shield, Berserk
(yea recasting Multi-Strike is a pain but only use it for tough opponents i no wat ur thinkin but u dont need to max both Physical Shield & Berserk if u cant be bothered)

Archer - Enflame, Slow Time, Multi-Arrow
(with Slow Time no 1 should get near u nut with enimes like zombies who come out of the ground next to u enflame should do the trick)

Mage - Enflame, Fireball, Lightning
(just like with the archer Enflame will get rid of anyone that swarms u and Lightning takes care of large groups of enimies as distance while Fireball will be your big damage spell for tough enimies)

and before u ask yea i am a noob i havent completed the game but i do have 3 saves and these combos of spells work for me
Do not pass by my epitaph, traveler.
But having stopped, listen and learn, then go your way.
There is no boat in Hades, no ferryman Charon,
No caretaker Aiakos, no dog Cerberus.
All we who are dead below
Have become bones and ashes, but nothing else.

Possible spoiler/Tip

I've just started the game for the second time, obviously once you have played it enough you get to see the uses of every speel much more detailed.

On my first time I used the Bersek spell like crazy but came across a very nice tip, if you Bersek and world save and then reload you'll keep the size and I think (not sure) a little bit of the strength of it :D it's really cool like for when you fight Twimblade, you aint the little guild puppet he thought you'd be... I was sorta in shock last night when with only two blows I knocked him down, I was using the legendary greathammer (can't remember it's name  ) the only sucky part is that if you use it again by mistake when it runs out you'll go back to being the little guy again.

Other than that I find most useful the phcL shield, using anything other than that makes the quests too simple, althought I love lightning up those fairies, they are so damn annoying... hey question.. can you summon fairies?

If I were asked to choose 3 other spells to keep they'd be Enflame, Slow Time and Drain Life.
Haz el bien sin mirar a quien!
