Thin Bloods Quest
Thin Bloods Quest
Has anyone other than me been unable to receive the quest from the thin-bloods on the Santa Monica beach? This is my second time through playing, and I was once again unable to get the quest. My final reply is "I'll look into it", referring to thin bloods, but I never get the quest to look for Lily. My brother was able to get the quest in a different game, and I followed his steps in conversation to no avail. Any suggestions/ similar gripes?

I don't think I ever got the quest for Lily after talking to E, I never really mentioned it to him during the first conversation except Lilly shiring him.
You can just follow the walkthrough for the exact way on how to play the quest, but I think E mentions the Diner in his dialogue, which is your starting point.
I believe I got the quest in my log after going to the diner.

I've racked my brains about it, but I'm really sure I got the quest when I talked to What's Her Name in the Diner.
It may be very buggy in your case. I'm playing a new game at the moment, so I will pay attention to my own possibilities, but I got the option when playing a Tremere. (To see if it's stat related or maybe you must activate something relating to Thinbloods)
Anyway, try to find Lilly anyway, you never know how buggy or not it may be. Maybe it is just some stat thing.

I have a sequence for this that always seems to result in the quest being given.
Before talking to E. be sure to talk to the fortune teller about everything. Pay her the twenty dollars and explore all the future options you can. She will mention talking to E. for example (quick side note: concerning the fortune teller: um, is it just me, or do certain portions of her anatomy seem to defy gravity in a not quite realistic way?).
After talking to the fortune teller, talk to E. Be polite to him. The first time you have the conversation option for "how did this happen to you" take it. Then take the "Is lily dead" option. Then take the "I'll look into this Thin Blood option". Then take the "I'll get back to you if I hear anything" option, at this point E. will thank you and introduce his friends, which means you are on the right track. You will then get an option where you can ask where to look for additional information. At this point you are good to go.
Talking to the fortune teller may not be necessary, but the information she gives you is all dead-on accurate (at least in hindsight).

All I can say is this:
That quest does NOT get offered to you if you sell fake, magical wooden stakes to the thinbloods, then demand money or you'll run them off the beach, then come back anyway and crack their skulls in with a fire axe while screaming that the time of Thin Blood is upon us all...
... Man... How GOOD is this game??

Hmmm... except for the fortune teller part, I"ve done all that. Except when I say "I'll look into the Thin Bloods," he says goodbye... and that's that. I'll try again with this new information. Thanks a bunch!

I had the same problem with a Malk character.

I'm sure there is some global console command that triggers this quest in your journal and everything(I know there is one which completes it). I would find it, but it's New Years Eve, and really, I'm too lazy...
