"Dear Mr/Mrs Pennypincher."
I spose it's Mr, but just "Hey you" is totaly fine! *big smile!*
"I thank you for the information and insight about the World of Darkness which you provided in this thread and in others across this board."
No worries. If I can help or explain anything at any time that might brighten the experince, bring it on!
"Since I am utterly fascinated by the WoD setting and its video game offspring (Redemption and Bloodlines) I would love to learn more about it."
"Yet sadly I lack the resources to further delve into the matter."
Good news and Bad news. Good News: Since the release of Vampire: The Requiem, the old Vampire: The Masquerade books are no longer in print, so your money is no good anyway. Instead, you can download them from sites which I wont mention here for fear of breeching copy write or being seen as "Advertising for free"... But you can check out the White Wolf site I spose, the details are on there some place for the downloading of Vampire: The Masquerade in PDF formate.
Bad News: The site that whitewolf endorses for the download of said books charges a small fee for you to do it... There are more.. Er.. Ilegal ways, but I in no way endorse or use them. *guilt cough*
"Therefore I would be overjoyed if you could answer some of my questions.
- The official Time of Judgement already happened as I understand it. What exactly came to pass according to White Wolf?"
Well, White Wolf were kind enough to provid more then one ending for those people who wanted to customise their World Of Darkness experince to their own game. In the most popular ending "The Throne Of God" or some such thing, all Vampires began to experince the wrath of the lord. Slowly, God removed the Curse of Cain be reduceing the potency of vampire blood... That meant that thousand year old vampires were slowly losing potencey and slipping down the ladder of power till they were little better then neonates.. And what happened even FUTHER down that chain? Humanity... Of course, the second a 1000 year old vampire becomes human again, he turns to dust!
Meanwhile, the constant slaying of the Thin Blood Vampires, who were meant to be a sign of the end times, stired the antedeluvians. The blood of vampires being spilled so constantly awoke them from their slumber with a hunger unmatched. Each of the clans found themselves faced not only with the withering of their blood, but the endless hunger of their elders.. Who were so old, the withering bearly even effected them.
For 40 days and 40 nights, the Antedeluvians devoured man and woman, vampire, werewolf, mage, anything that walked in their path, each struggling to reach the pinicale of power... The throne of god. Only one thing staved of the Withering, and they knew it.. Diablorie. So, they set to work sucking the very life and soul out of everything in sight.. Last one to wither away into dust and die wins!
I pretty much put the books down in disgust at about the stage 95% of all living things on the earth were killed in the battle bewteen the antedeluvians. Suffice to say.. The end was THE END. In the other version, the Antedeluvians struggled to rule once more, Caine returned and wrestled with his acient lover Lilith, in others vampires just decayed away in the Withering. Sorry, best I can give you... The Time Of Judgment was a bit of a let down, so I didn't get into it much. Maybe someone else on here can fill in the little details.
"- The new setting Vampire: The Requiem is supposed to be set after the Time of Judgement? In which way is it different from Vampire: The Masquerade?"
Well, no. Requiem is the NEW World Of Darkness.. Basicaly, it's an entierly different world and setting. The basic pen and paper rules for the game have changed DRASTICALY (and for the worst if you ask me and most people I know, but thats a personal gripe). However the setting isn't a GREAT deal different. Fewer clans and more bloodlines (EG: Brujah is now a bloodline borne of the Gangrel clan.. or vis versa, I don't remember. And Malkavians are now a Bloodline of the Venture, casued by the inbreeding of royal bloodlines)
The new game is a lot easier to play.. More like a computer game. Fewer stats, less rolling, faster action scenes. Vampires have been made a LOT weaker, however their strength now always increases with age, rather then mostly being related to Generation in the first one... Also the new settings will be TOTALY RULES COMPATABLE with the new Werewolf: The Forsaken, and Mage: The Whatever-they-call-the-thing... A gripe many people had about Vampire: The Masquerade, Werewolf: The Appocolypse and Mage: The Acenssion.
So, yeah, the new setting is an entierly new world, not realated to the old world in any way. The Grand Meta-Plot has mostly been removed to allow more freedom of storytelling as well.
"If you are too occupied to answer my questions I would also appreciate it if you could direct to some yielding sources in this inter web."
I don't know if I'm allowed to post links to web pages that advertise and sell stuff, so suffice to say that a search for White-Wolf should come up with everything you need. Good luck!
"PS:
Please bear with me since English is not my first language."
I thought you did bloody well!
Okay, so I hope that helps anyone who had questions in that area. Again, if anyone liked Time Of Judgment and wanted to explain it better, please!

Aah, most interesting.
Thank you Mr. Pennypincher for sharing your vast knowledge with me.
What a sad ending. Why can't those pesky Antedeluvians just get along with each other? Maybe Saulot should just have diablerized them all in due time.
Anyway, thank you again for this interesting information.
I have also found some kind of electronic encyclopedia about the "old" World of Darkness, here:

Peace.
