Saving Private Dynaheir
About the Dynaheir thing: even more useful is when you take both Minsc and Edwin in your party. Because then when you talk to Dynaheir you first get something like 900 exp. (I'm not sure how much excactly) for finding her (the Edwin quest). Then she starts saying that you're being foolish and that you should know better, and you can say that you've changed your mind and she can get in your party, so you get some 800 exp. more for rescueing her. Ofcourse, Edwin won't like this and in my game he just walked angry away, though he might also attack you in another game, I'm not quite sure.
But anyway, this is useful to everyone who is of good-alligment, or everyone who just wants to save her, because you still get the exp. for the Edwin quest, without actually having to kill Dynaheir.
Did you know, none of this **** is interesting Plus there are plenty of threads where it is explained how you can have both Edwin and Dynaheir in the party at the same time.
If it doesnt intrest you, dont read it. Not everyone has to share your opinion, and this thread isnt about keeping Edwin and Dynaheir in the same party.

Never said it was.
But what Tjobov said has been discussed before (multiple times IIRC).

The problem is that the people with the most ridiculous ideas are always the people who are most certain of them.

That's irrelevant.
Firstly, even if it has been discussed many times before, those discussions may be buried quite deeply within the forum archives, and a newcomer may not be able to locate them.
Secondly, most people around here can quickly and easily answer a simple question, and the thread is done. The question is answered, and the newbie is happy. No need for grumpy people to jump in and grumble "we answered this already!"
Thirdly - so what? So what if the question has been asked before. I didn't see it get asked. I missed it. I didn't even think to ask it. I'm interested in reading people's responses. And furthermore, it keeps the fourm ticking over, with new threads posted every day. I'd rather have conversation than a dead forum.
Cheers,
TGHO

I have to agree with TGHO on this one.
At this point, i think every aspect of baldur's gate has been discussesed.
But alot of new people appeared on the board, with new opinions and idea's.
Better keep things alive.
It's no problem when a thread with the same topic appears every once in a while. It gets annoying when a new thread about the same topic appears every 1/2 weeks.

EXACTLY what I was pondering And got to the same conclusion, so that must be it
I guess it wasn't a bad idea at all to start a thread to reveal not very well known facts about the game... Eg. in IWD II there was a very simple thing, a dead cat, and the rest of the gamers didn't know what to do with it, so just carried the poor thing around in their backpockets. Now, revealing that the dead cat is actually significant in a side quest (which wasn't included in the walkthrough) made everbody
Don't know if these kind of little things occur in BG or not - if the walkthrough is detalied and thorough enough, there might be no need for this thread. Let the High Mod decide

People we are getting off-topic (not that has even been on-topic since the first reply).
But i'm not going to close it (thats my way of saying i'm also curious what the "O" from TGHO stands for).
But please dont make this thread the first BG1-board-tavern.
