problem with Bg2 ToB, need help

Post by Zaknafein »

Hello,
Ive installed last time to my bg some mods (The Big Picture etc), I made reinstalation. my friend adviced me to do the clon cd of cd no2. The game was going fine until I decided to play ToB. The screen apeard, informing me that I should place Bg2 ToB cd in my drive, but it was already in my base cd drive. SO I turned off all cd "false drives", but nothing changed, should I reinstal bg with all my mods, change something?? (reinstall will take much time and searching for this modes so plz help me!!)

What do you mean, a clone CD of CD #2?

Clone

Lets say you have 1 drive. And you have a game which need a CD. You have it, but you don't want to leave it all the time in drive. So you make a Virtual Cd drive, copy everything whats on that CD into your hard drive. You make a clone, and now in my Computer folder you have 2 drives one real, and one not really existing. That's what I done with my bg2 cd #2.

Is there anyway to change something in the file, into correct order? It should be possible...

I'm familiar with the procedure; just wasn't sure what you meant in your question. :) Although I've cloned ("mounted") DOS games using DOSBox under XP, I've never tried this with a multiple CD game. Too many hassles, though it's a good idea.

While you can search on "clone" in our forum database, that will probably be a lengthy process, since the word is also used in relation to spells and that first battle with Irenicus. I wish you luck. Perhaps somebody else here will have experience with the same issue. And if nobody responds, let me know in this thread whether you want it moved to our tech support forum. Perhaps somebody there will have some ideas.
