will be forged into a powerful armor, from what I hear.
But,what the hell is this?
How can I collect all 3?
Especially the golden one which is in BG1
How can you bring it into SoA and ToB.You cann't bring anything with you when you import your character ,do you. So,anyone can tell me how to get this armor without hacking?
3 Pantaloons From BG,SoA,and ToB...
When you play BG1, In the friendly Arm inn (where you meet jahiera and Khalid) on the third floor you will encounter a men who asumes you are empoyee of the inn. He says that you have to do his laundry, if you accept so he gives you the pair of pantaloons.
In Irenicus dugeon you can find the pantaloons again.
In the room where you can pick up some equipment and also the key to free jahiera.
in that room you can look behind a painting.
you will find ther 3potions of healin, a dagger +1 and the pantaloons.

Sorcery and Shadow together as one, the arcane and the dark united. Through our knowledge and skill none can stand against us. We are as one, infallible and invincible. The Shadow Mages.
if you have all three pantaloons, and you go to the weaponsmith in Amkethran, he will forge it into an armor called the Big Metal Unit. You won't find the stats in the item description. But what it basically does is to make look like a Juggernaut golem and give you a lot of AC bonus, like around 20 or something. However, you are going to have trouble moving around in narrow places.

The Church could use someone like that.

I have played through a couple times, and have NEVER even seen the pantaloons! I don't remember ever running into anyone in the Friandly Arm Inn fitting that description. I think I'll have to go all the way back to the beginning and try this all again.
"Think on this, arrogant mageling: even the mightiest archmage has no spells strong enough to let him cheat death. Some take the road of lichdom... a living death. The rest of us find graves, and our dust is no grander than that of the next man. So when next you lord it over some farmer with your fireballs, remember: we all master spells enough to die"

I doubt such thing will work, because I haven't seen any pantaloonsa in Iri's dungeon and you cannot use any stuff from BG1, not directly. When you import a person in SOA, all items are removed, includig a pantaloon, if you are crazy enough to take one with ya...

Although I haven't tried it, I understand that if you imported a character from BGI who has the golden pantaloons in their inventory at the time they are imported, then the pantaloons will appear behind the painting in Irenicus' dungeon.
The golden pantaloons are found in BG1 on (if I'm remembering properly) the third floor of the Friendly Arm Inn (although it could be the second floor). The noble who has them is in the top left "bedroom" of that floor, and if you talk to him he mistakes you for a servant. If you answer him "Sir, yes sir, pantaloons pressed and ready by this evening" (this is paraphrased), he gives you the pantaloons. Then you have the option of hanging onto them or giving them back to him for 100xp. They are worthless in BG1 so I always gave them back, even though 100xp is also mostly worthless
There have been a multitude of posts on the "pantaloons enigma", if you do a search for the word pantaloons you will be able to read much more regarding the silver and bronze ones.
Happy gaming

1: The Golden Pantaloons did surely see the very beginnings of our realm; though I must press that they "saw" this formative time by their simple presence, and not through some vestigial eyes that might have erupted through a rear pocket perhaps concealing teeth and other improbable extremities. I am sure that the various owners of the pantaloons can attest to the general lack of animated digits or ocular sensors, as evidenced by the continued sanctity and privacy maintained by their respective buttocks.
Lyric pantoums of an age long since out of print speak of "trousers that were as metal, though soft about the shanks." While it might be easy to jump to the seemingly inevitable conclusion that the trousers rose while Netheril fell, it is doubtful that the pantaloons were the garments of which they speak. One must clarify these oft-misquoted verses with knowledge of the Pantechnicon, an ancient bazaar once prized for Silver Pantalets. Fine these may have been, but golden they were not. Nickel Panties are also said to be currently available, though the dockside establishments that claim to offer these products are beyond my meager experience, and thus I can make no report.
The purpose of the Pantaloons is as mysterious as ever, and will likely remain so until the Pantocrator himself returns, though some properties can be divined though intimate observation. The "uplifting" properties of the gusset very nearly defy gravity, shaping quite nicely both the front and rear. This improved contour would likely increase self-esteem for a wearer of either sex. I would hazard a guess, however, that this continuing self delusion might actually hamper cognitive functions, and care should be taken in the wearing of any pantaloons of golden nature.
2: A high quality pair of silver pantaloons. This was the ransom paid by Welther for the release of Lady Elgea.
