Red mark in Amunator quiz statue

Post by Quitch »

There's nothing about the red mark that appears while looking for traps, inside the statue that quizes you on the rituals of Amunator. However, I'm sure I've read something about it on this board.

Anyone know if you can go anywhere with this? What's that red mark?

IIRC it has something to do with the Ranger-Stronghold quests - but since I've never played a ranger I can't tell you for sure :(

Do you mean the statue's eye? There is some precious stone hidden there (a diamond I think), it needs some fidgeting around to get it though since if you try to klick on it you usualy get to speak the statue.

You have to get far enough away from it that you can't see the blue ring around the statue, then find the niche with the "pickup" hand from there. It is a diamond, alot of effort for a diamond ;) It is also trapped, again you'll have to find the trap, then go to another room and get the "disarm trap" icon from there.

Yes - there is a diamond in there. I tried 'killing' the statue, but attacking it had no effect. But then, by chance, a shadow wolf came up on me, and I used the Horn of Blasting in the room - which knocked the blue circle off of the statue. I was then able to loot the statue normally (i.e remove the trap, etc) while not using the trick above.
