I am strongly considering not placing any enchanted clothing, armor or weapons on my present character.. going for discretion here, and I thought it might be fun. The only enchanted jewelly she will ever wear will be ease-of-use types of rings that make travelling a bit easier, i.e CE water breathing, water walking etc. I may even avoid CE levitation, instead relying on a high acrobatics ability and potions.
Has anybody else ever done this?

Since restarting playing about 8 months ago, I've used mods that prevent all but the simplest CEs (like Light), so CE levitation, invisibility, high level chameleon, etc, just isn't possible. Even items native to the main plot that offer high level enchantments are changed. Since I know so much about the environment, it helps makes MW more of a challenge.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

You might also consider Sri's Alchemy: do without any potions that puff up Intelligence, and makes some spells so horrendously expensive in magicka points that they're impossible to use for enchantments.

I actually just started using Sri's and I really like it. Though, I never used fortify intelligence anyway, so for me it just makes alchemy much more interesting. Plus, since my character has the Atronach as her birth sign, I like the fact it is now much easier to create restore magicka potions.
I am very seriously considering relying entirely on potions for levitation, water breathing/walking etc. But I admit, I find it quite handy to be able to have a CE walking on water item..
