K really stupid question

what button do i use to open doors.... i looked thru controls and didnt find it, i was think it should be e, but i tryed that n no dice..

Hmmm... one of 3:

1) It still is E and the door you are trying to open simply cant be opened. Doubt it though.

2) You installed a mod that had different settings (I hear the P&P mod does for instance, havent tried it yet though) or somehow your settings where altered (little brother or roomate trying the game while you are at work?).

3) You at some point changed the settings without noticing, maybe checking out what buttons do what.


Either way your one stop shop for proper door opening would be to hit escape, go to options and set your controls making E your door opening key and if you are like me, you can maybe make pressing the scroll button have that function as well.

Edit I just read again that you looked through the controlls... it might be refered to as the "use" button or something. It's a little late so if I fire up vampire to check what they refer to it as I might end up playing till 4

actually, if you are at the beginning and cannot open the first door, i is most likely becasue of that specific in-game bug. Try saving and then reloading your game in front of the door and then try it...hope this helps.
