Halaster's magnifying glass? (spoilers)

Post by Elurindel »

Does anybody know what it's actually for? I've never been able to figure it out.

You can use it to fry the bugs (Formian) in Undermountain level 3. But it can only be used there. It can save a lot of trouble.

@ Noober: darn you beat me to it :p

Uh, aren't you meant to be *helping* the formorians (if you follow the plot, anyway)? I think frying them would sort of break this. And how does it work, anyway - you're underground! ;)

Cheers,
TGHO

It's up to you if you want to help them or fry them (I kill them since they try to steal my exp......my precious xp :p )

The effect looks like either a sunburst spell or a sunbeam spell (can't remember). Which instantly destroy the target that stand in that area.

(oh yes, my big 5-0-0)

@Fiberfar
LOL! Precious XP. There is more of that to go around. Poor little ants, with you grumpily crisping them.

No, I know the spell-effect of the item, I was just pointing out that since you're underground that there is no sun to magnify... Just being pedantic. :)

Cheers,
TGHO

somewhere around 62 exp i guess if you don't multiclass. I NEED exp :p
And they kills off the duergars if you let them help you (shame on them) :D

Edit:
@ TGHO : killing the ants ain't the worst things you can see me do..... like killing everything in the Hells... and of course, Drearings deep is not around to tell any tales when I am done. (so I do change the whole story) :D

I killed everything in the hells too because I wanted to become evil (so I could suck out my henchies souls :p ) but I soon realised that even killing everybody results in no change in alignment :( . Methinks you would be better a Blackguard Fiberfar, great saves when combined with Paladin :D .

Blackguards are only good with a high sneak attack.....
Speaking of killing of cities; if you kill the whole City Core in NwN, you get around 2000exp :D :p . I have a friend that is on the same killing spree for exp as me.

He calculated that he needed to kill 600 worried spirits to be a lvl 30 sorcerer :D .

But I think we are a bit of topic now.....

You think true ;)

Topic closed, because it seems as though the original question has been answered in full, so there is little need to carry on this convesation in this topic.
