for a Gangel character should I focus on building Protean and brawl, or Animalism and malee?
Overal what is the better build for a Gangrel?

Well make sure you get the ability to summon spirit wolves at least (it will get you out of places with LOTS of humans in one piece) and from there you are pretty much free to pick and choose. Then every level you get is definatly not waisted (they are all great powers) but focuse on whatever you want.
Protean and unarmed sounds like your best bet over melee given that your protean weapon that you generate is REALLY potent, especially as you continue to develop it.
