Is my game messed up?

I was under the impression that Bao-Dur was supposed to make shields if you asked him to while aboard the Ebon Hawk. But whenever I try talking to him, my only option is "never mind."

I've considered the possibilty that I may have too many shields in my inventory, but with other characters you at least have the option of asking them to make more stuff before they tell you no (Mira told me I had too many grenades, G0T0 told me I had enough security spikes, etc.); I don't even get that option with Bao-Dur.

I was never able to get Bao-Dur to make me anything. After I trained him to be a Jedi, I really didn't have any conversation options with him.

Weak, I didn't even get to make him a Jedi. Even when I tried talking to him after an influence gain, I still didn't get to train him. Even after the times he actually initiated a conversation with me (and I always answer him like the guide says to), I never got to train him. I guess it really doesn't matter, I'm much rather roll with Handmaiden and Visas anyway.

Only in one of my games have I gotten the option to ask him to make me energy shields. Maybe it just is because you have too many. I've never really paid attention to it.

I only got to make energy shields from him was when before we left Telos.

Yes he does make shields. I've gotten quite a few mandalorian melee shields from him.

Basically obsidain made a lot of mistakes making this game. It's a great game, but they there are so many bugs in it! Oh how I wish Bioware would have made it
