Big BAD Wolf ***SPOILERS****

Post by Nietzscheserbe »

Ok, this is the first time im really stuck in this game.
Im playing a Malk and i met Nines at that Park...how the hell do you manage to stay alive against that fury beast?

________SPOILERS_______________________________________________

I tried follow the walkthrough, but that thing dishes out ridicules amount of damage with a single hit, i barley make it to the shed befor its lights out for me. I tried hiding in the House, i guess the damn thing can smell me a mile away, any room i get to it just smashes in through the wall...big bad wolf is making my Malk feel really small. I tried obfuscate ;) damn thing can see though walls i guess. No silver bullets when you need them

At least you wherent chasing it with a flamethrower like I was...

"Man... how much damage can this thing take?!"

What worked for me (I hear you can kill it too using the observatory doors) was runing around inside the building like a chicken while it chased me and eventually I climbed up some metal stairs. The wolf kept running around from room to room but for some reason the thought of running up those steps didint seem like a good idea to it.

Then when the time was up I ran like heck.

Im sure some one will post a more "glamorous" way to make it but this is the cowards easy way out.

Yep, here it is:

Go into the main building and snoop around a bit. You should find an exit leading into a small area surrounded with chainlink fence. Here you'll find a small shack. Turn on the electricity and run back inside. Next, go to the observatory room (the one with the big telescope) and go up to the control board. The werewolf will try to enter through the huge window in the wall. When he's between the walls, press the switch on the control board to close the window and enjoy the show....

How in the world did you manage to get into the position where YOU were chasing IT??

I did the running chicken technique too. After trying to take it with my katana weilding Toreador (like an idiot) and dying in about 3 seconds, I just ran like heck. If you don't want to make the effort to kill it, run this way: Going in the shed is a bad idea until the tram is there. Go in the house and up the stairs. It'll run around under you for a little while then jump up beside you. Jump down and run outside...once it makes it back out, do it again. Keep it up until about 15-20 seconds after the time is up (it takes about that long for the tram to stop) and haul undead butt to back to the shed and get out of there.

well as a toreador you should have lvl5 celerity at that time so it shouldnt be a problem to run away from it and kill it, with my toreador i managed to have celerity turned on all the time and it was no problem to dodge his charge attacks

Yeah, celerity is the easiest way to get it in the observatory doors. As a tremere I recommend the observatory doors and bloodshield. Which was the way I did it first time. Because without that shield up, well, I'd have been 90% more ash, :D

Play dead

I don't know why this works, but it does (sometimes you gotta try it a couple times) I just crouched by the fence, turned on my blood buff and bloodshield (fortitude if you're Gangrel) and didn't move the wolf will pound you once maybe twice and simply stop!! I don't know why, but it's just stops. I wait out the clock in the crouched position and after the timer runs out, I just jam into the tram building and into the tram. Be quick because he will be chasing you.

Worked for me both times I played the game. Good luck!

well, i killed the big bad wolf :p it isn't that difficult...and it gives you 4 experience points...you can get to that shack through that hole in the fence...then turn on the power and run to the observatory...then turn on the power and about 3 seconds later (that's when he tried to enter while i was playing :D ) use that console...and voila :D
You're my glowing star,
You're my dream come true,
You're all I ever wanted,
You're the one, who'll break my heart,
You're the one, who'll make me cry,
You're the one, I'm lost without...

I never thought about trying something like that. I just ran like heck (after my 3rd reload  ) and found a nice little spot to hide between the fence and that rock face. The werewolf ran around, jumped over the fence several times and then just paced back and forth. I waited til the time went down and booted. He almost caught me again though. Whew! I'm glad I finally made out of there!

I'll even go further. If you don't know how to kill him, you'll end up using the GOD cheat or throw the game into a bin because you can't get past that level.

It is possible to get past that part without killing the "big bad wolf" :) it tooked me 20-30 final deads but i've succeded :D and killing it ... i discovered by pure chance how to kill him and it was realy hard to do it cuz i've played as an tremere and didnt had celerity :) but it worked ! :) with celerity both variants are easy ...

And in this area it seems that the real player get frenzy :D i got it after 15 final deads :) ) almost killed my monitor :) )

I just killed it. Even with Celerity, it's kind of hard to time it right, but it's always easy to just run away from it in the building.

I'd hate to do it without Celerity. Not the most annoying part of the game, but I would like to have killed it without cheap tricks.

If Mere Survival Rather Than Wolf Giblets Is Your Preffered Choice On The Way To Grammas House It Seems To Work If You Scurry Up The Stairs And As Soon As Furrball Hops On The Ledge Next To You Just Scurry Right Back Down To Ground Zero. Furrball, Lacking Decent A.i. Will Hop Back Down The Way He Came. Repeat Generously Until The Timer Goes Ding And Book It To The Tram. Do Not Get Caught W/ Him On The Ground And You On The Stairs Or He'll Huff And Puff And Crash The Stairs

Wolf-bane

I got wasted trying to walk the dog, but eventually I found that running to the fire and hiding works, even though it spots you - for some reason it can't get you. you wait until time is almost up and leg it for the cable-car - I did that and survived after about 3/4 attempts.

much better to switch on the power, open the doors, lure it in and crush it like a datsun.

5 XP is definitely worth the effort.

I have done it without celerity, but you do get hit.
