Heres how to summon a different creature. Summon your wasp/scorpion. wound a minion, bandit, etc. Have your summoning kill the enemy, and then the summoning will become the enemy, for example.

Enemy, Bandit

Your summoning wasp/scorpion.

have your summoning kill the bandit, then the summoning will become a black summoned bandit. if its confusing. have someone else help you. thats the best i can do for ya

So, you mean every time your summoning kills somebody it becomes that thing? Does that mean just until it is killed, or every time from then on in that you use summon?

Your summon creature when it kills another it becomes the creature it killed but only if it's stronger than the original summoned creature. Which means once you get the Summoner Minion which is the strongest unit, your summon will not turn into anything else anymore. By unit, it means things that can be spawned automatically by the game program, bosses are not normal units that why when people summoned Scorpion Kings it crashed their game.

so you just have to let the enemy wounded for the summon to kill it but how can I wound without killing? how can you tell when the enemy is powerless enough to be killed by your creature?

are minions extinct when you kill jack? I have wandered all over the place and I haven't seen one since then...

are the trolls considered bosses then? what about nymphs or fairies? can those be summoned?

Yes they are extinct and no you can't summon any trolls or nymphs. Note that during the quests "Escort Trader" and "Hobbe Cave", the trolls and nymphs are displayed as bosses with their HP bar displayed under the mini map therefore you can't summon them.

Minions appear every once and a while in witchwood stones. Not too much though, just so often.

Just woundering could your summon become the Scorpio King?
You stand in the middle of a Forest
You cloase your eyes and a mist of
Greater Will Power darken your
Path You can not find a way out
You are alone, the mist comes cloaser
And you feel powerful, and find your
way out of the mist.

I'm pretty sure you can't. It would be cool, but it would only actually fit in three or four areas in the whole game.
(Didn't someone talk about this earlier?)

Make sure you read the threads! ...

And just in case you feel like asking if either one of the other bosses are available for summoning, I made it easier for ya and asked already but in case you missedit here it is...

Getting a White Balverine as a summon creature is a great idea, I'm going to do that ASAP. Can't believe I never thought of that. Of course I don't usually get the summon spell, but I'll make a special exception.

When you save and load a game, does your creature save and load with it? That was my problem with the spell is that I would continually have to reacquire creatures and it got annoying.

Strange, some must failed to extract, they supposed to reload your summon to the last most powerful creature killed by summon.

Wouldn't be the strangest thing to happen. My copy is really hurtin'. Need to invest in a new one. Why is it still $50?!?

I have successfully gotten a white balverine as a summoned creature, it follows me wherever I go, my bloodthirsty pet. There's nothing quite like getting into Twinblade's Camp or Knothole Glade and letting my White Balverine loose in the tavern. Good stuff, gooood stuff.
