Post by Devilvidel »

Does anyone know how you get past this guy (the Sabbat before you enter the Nosferatu warrens) as I have tried several times and can't get past him.

Thanks.

I'm playing as part of the Toreador clan with all the disciplines included within said clan.

Weapons wise I have the knife, baseball bat, severed arm, axe, baton for melee weapons and the usual shotgun and piston for guns.

Try not to waste too much time on the Runners and focus on the boss himself. He'll keep teleporting around, so keep at him. Celerity will help here. Keep thwacking at him, and don't forget to use your blood packs. If you're a close combat character, don't forget blood buff.

Quite easy.....

As he melts with the earth and uses earth walking ( a form of protean ) over and over and directs his headthings after you, you probably won't be able to kill him in melee combat.
Try to remain with your back to the stairs, he won't spawn his headservants if he can't see you. So all you have to do is wait until he comes out of the earth where you can see him, shoot him a few times with the Shotgun ( Jaegerspas XV if you have it ), until he melts to the earth a final time.

Is that stand in front of the stairs in front of the blue fire?

Melee is just fine. What's important is that you don't bother killing the creatures and that you use Celerity all the time.

I used a Toreador against him as well. Celerity helps a lot, but I've found that level 2 or less is usually worthless. I did it with a melee weapon (knife I think) and what I did was ignore the little arm monsters and attack him when he materializes. I also figured out that your character attacks faster if you walk into him while you slash...and that he does different moves when you hold different directions, but walking into him is the best. Then when he melts away head back to the bloody table thing in the center of the room to minimize running distance once he materializes again. Just make sure you keep yourself fairly healthy because the first time I went balls-to-the-wall against him and beat him but I was so low on health that right as I won the two little arm-monsters killed me...so keep in mind you will have to kill them afterward.

Well, it's kinda hard to avoid being attacked by them. Just kill a few while the Tmizce is teleporting, they go down fairly fast, especially to mellee weapons. You don't have to kill all of them, just make sure you don't get swarmed. Other than that, keep going at the boss. Oh, and use your disciplines, especially Celerity; it will help you keep up with the teleporting bastard.

Just a reminder to you all, though we all like to find ways of getting ahead in games, if you personnally are asking something, be sure to include Spoiler in your thread title.

I did tremere and just got close and used purge whenever he came up, gives you a bunch of free licks on him and he didn't seem to be able to summon the lil critters while he was puking all over.

As a Toreadore I used celerity and the .44

I jump on the table by the wall, the head runners can't reach you, or ignore you and then I fire at the Tzimisce until he is gone.

i was maxing celerity from the start and when i reached the tzimishe it was lvl5 long ago, so when he appeared i just runned next to him and empty-ed both two shotguns on him leaving him with like 2% life for the road... died in 10seconds... :D

Easy solution - spoiler

(this also works when he is Warform T in the Hallowbrook)

at 409 Mansion you come down the stairs and have to chat with him.

as soon as the talking stops, run diagonal left to the butchers' table in the corner, jump up on it, crouch and ready a ranged weapon (or blood strike).

matey appears and disappears around the room, but crouching improves your aim and you can usually hit him 2-4 times per appearance.

once he is gone - which you can do without ANY damage to yourself - there are sometimes 1 or 2 head runners hiding under the table, but the anaconda or a melee weapon soon dispose of them.

at the end of Hallowbrook, he (presuming it is the same bstd) is more powerful, but if you use the same technique and run up onto the platform from which you enter the room - from there you can destroy him with ranged weapons - I prefer the flame thrower to scorch him. the alternative is to crouch under an overhang and shoot him from below - for some reason he takes it rather than goes the long way round to get you.

no problemo.

tzimisce boss

lol.. Honestly.. I didnt find beating him all that hard.. I didnt have to use celerity or even any weapons.. I just fought him hand to hand.. whenever he went down underground.. I just beat off the 2 or 3 of his beasts then went back and hit him a few more times.. Didnt take me long at all to beat him and never died trying..
