I get bored with characters at reaching level 25 or so. I believe my record is 32.

I prefer a slow progression, racking up skills, so I can wallop the daylights out of anything whose dentures are larger than my torso. :) I don't think I've gotten a character above 22. My current is 16, and lovin' it.

56... and still raising. I beat the main quests and everything and now i'm doing the REALLY tiny quests. I think it's called freelancing. :)

I think the way the skills are distributed, the game caps out at 73-78, depending on race and sign. You can get it higher, but you have to really work at it, and it could be considered cheating.

Right now my Spellsword is at 43, and I'm now thinking of starting over. I get bored with ropleplaying the same character around 35+.

I once got to level 63 with a character, but it became SO INCREDIBALLY boring. I've got a personal problem with the "advancement" system in this game, sometimes - it feels like you've got to go out of your way not to "cheapen" it.
I sincerely wish we could re-consider this plan from a perspective that involved pants.

my highest lvl char had reached 83 when i finished the game. course, that involved an exploit to level beyond what i should have been able to reach.

83 breton
mage guild master
morag tong master
fighters guild master
temple master
blades operative (highest possible i believe)
thieves guild master
fighters guild second in charge
imperial legions master
telvanni master

completed morrowind, bloodmoon and tribunal.

also unofficial master of slave slayers

I bet the highest level you can reach is via using a race and a class that isn't "syncronized" with the inital skills the race gets bonuses to. For example, a nord mage. The nord doesn't get any bonuses to the "mage" skills (e.g. mysticism, alteration etc.) and that way you can exploit the character the most.

Let's say a wood elf with marksman as a major. So it'll be 50 in the beginning. You get a total of 5 levels buffing only your marksman skill. But if it would be used as a major but your race is e.g. Argonian, it would be 35 so you could get 7,5 levels thru that skill.

What do we learn?

Always use a class that contradicts the race's inital purpose. A breton fighter? kewl!

lol, im level 102 at the moment but thats noyl cause i was doing the expansions doing like the main quest for both of them, but for some reason i cant finish the one in mournmold, so now im freelancing im tryin to get ever speacil weapon ther is, thats the only thing keeping me going, oh and tryin to get the highest level in every faction, and i also found a glich in the game, well least i think it is, i donno if its a spoiler but ill put it in black anyway -highlight i found that if u go to a someone that can get a skill up to 100 then u can keep going up main levels, but the skill stays at 100, i did this after i was bout level 90 but it was takin too long so i stopped
