Converting To Jedi (Spoilers)
Converting To Jedi (Spoilers)
ok I've played the game through twice, and there are a few issues about converting folks to Jedi..
I have never been able to convert Atton or Baodar to Jedi..
I have converted Disciple, and Mira ..
Disciple was the easiest, he converted right in the Jedi Enclave by talking about his interest in you, the fact that he gave up being a jedi because of you, and that its still not too late for him to learn, if you're his teacher..
Converting mira involves getting her onto the Ebon Hawk, and then talking to her about being restless, and that she misses Nar Shadaa.. that Nar Shaddaa has a life of its own and that Keila showed you that and that you could show her too.. When she agree's to see what Kreila showed you, take Mira back to Narshada in front of the Entertainment portal and show her Narshadaa and that should turn her Jedi.
I would definitely like to convert Atton to a Jedi before his battle with the twin suns. The farthest I got is taking him to the refugee sector, talking toh im about his days in the jedi civil war, that he betrayed his oath, but I get stuck at asking him why he left the sith. I keep getting influence failure after that. Any suggestions ???
It would be nice to hear if anyone has converted handmaiden or Bao.. although its not as advantageous to convert those two I think. Handmaiden kicked Atris's butt as an unconverted soldier. but I've heard that handmaiden as a jedi is weaker...
Bao is pretty much replacable with the plasma torch that you get on Peragas.. so I pretty much never used him as a character after Telos's polar region.

Handmaiden is pretty easy to convert, just have to go through her training exercises and be nice to her. Never was able to convert Bao-Dur myself, in spite of using him quite a bit to try to gain influence. Only found one place to do it too (giving the open starport visa to the undercover Republic agent in the Iziz Cantina).
I was able to train Atton without too much problem. Was nice to him early on, there are a couple of influence bonuses there. There's also the airspeeder in Nar Shadda (just have him with you when you repair it and select the option to "let the expert handle this."). It also appears that if you're DS you can do random killings to gain influence. Had him as a Jedi prior to the fight with the two ladies, although he wasn't really any good as a Jedi at that point (no force points to speak of, and of course I had trained him as a marksman).

Same here. I had him with one force power: Heal. Still, I had trained up his dueling skill, so when they attacked, I just threw one of the best swords I had on him at the time on him, I think it was either a ryyk blade (nice sword) or an echani vibrosword (very nice sword), and I just used imp. critical strike and concentrated on one at a time, stunning one with a concussion grenade, adhesive grenade, and duking it out with the other. They're surprisingly easy when alone, actually.

Atton was the easiest to convert for me. Like someone else said before, be nice to him at the beginning and when you start fights against "innocent opponents" (those are the people that you don't really have to fight but pick a fight with them anyway -- dark side), then Atton says something like "What was that?...... then we were fighting" For some odd reason, that gets influence with Atton. I did it 3 times, and he was a Jedi in the middle of Naar Shada.
You get influence with him when you're considerate of him, show the ability to take a position as leader in a situation, and you concentrate on staying alive. Nar Shadaa was my second-to-last planet, and I just raced through his influence prompts, and voila, instant sentinel.

I'm playing dark side, and I'm having trouble getting Disciple to trust me. I think I may be a bit too far on the dark side for him to warm up to me (by the time I met him, all sorts of people were recommending all sorts of skin creams to clear up my face). Should I just give up on him, or is there a trigger?
Oh, and while I'm at it, are there any triggers for Hanharr? I've got some influence with him, but I still haven't opened him up entirely.

Atton can also be very easily trained on Nar Shadaa (happened to be my first planet). After the two Twileks in the refugee sector come up to you to tell you a "secret" about his past on Nar Shadaa, confront him on the Ebon Hawk. He will confess to killing Jedi and his fear of you finding out. After that, he'll follow your lead to becoming a Jedi.
I'm on the Light Side and I can convert Atton but every time I step through the conversation I end up with both Dark and Light Points points (net Light Side Shift). Is there anyway to convert him without getting Dark Points through conversation choices? Or do I need more influence with him before I convert him?

Converting Bao-Dur is fairly simple and very...well not necessary, I passed the game two times without him, but he's very useful and awesome and he looks badass as a dark jedi. Here's how you get influence:
First, on Telos, when he wakes up, choose all the nicest lightside conversation choices. I don't remember them exactly but they are pretty obvious. You get light side points, but it matters little. I did this as a dark counselur and it was still good.
Next, on Nar Shadaa in the refugee landing pad area, past the guy selling the brown droid in front of the entrence to the docks there are two thugs harassing some guy. If you pay back all the debt and refuse any reward from the guy getting harassed, and say to bao dur that you'll help anyone in need you get more influence and more light side points, but it is still cool. After this I was able to train him. Note, for this section, don't have Atton in your group, or he will steal the conversation and the influence. That bastard.
If that isn't enough, you can get all three parts for the airspeeder in the refugee area by the serroco thugs. you get the power cells for helping the ithorian in the flophouse if you ask, you get the manuvering flaps in Pylon 3, and the interface is in the blind alien's shop near the Ebon Hawk. After this make sure you have Bao-Dur with you, Atton as well, and fix the speeder and have bao-dur do the repair part and atton do the security part. You'll get influence with both.
Also, you can talk to the black guy by the speeder outside of the crystal cave and accept his quest and find the atmospheric sensors in some rubble, and have bao-dur inspect them and say good job, and you get influence.
Warnings: Don't have bao-dur in your party of you plan on doing any senseless killings or any dark side behavior really. If you do, you'll lose influence and your chance to train him. Make sure you talk to him about the war, using either the dark or light side options; whichever you wish, before you leave telos and again when you get on the Hawk. Then when you have the appropriate influence, you'll have yourself a new Jedi or Dark Jedi Guardian. If you're dark side, then his tattoos on his face will look badass. Also, for some reason he cannot equip robes so choose force powers not restricted by armor, but that doesn't matter much because as a guardian, he won't be using force powers. He isn't as strong a guardian as the handmaiden is, but his skills make up for it. Right now I am going through my third level, Korriban, and I am a Sith Lord flanked by two Dark Jedi Guardians. Hell yeah. I set them up and they knock them down. I could probably do it all myself with my badass force powers, but watching them force jump and just destroy my enemies with their double-bladed sabers is just awesome.
Sorry, I just geeked out there for a second. Follow the instructions and take bao-dur out of your party if you plan on killing random people, and keep him in your party when you do those 2 or 3 or 4 things, and you'll have a badass bao.
If this is unclear and rambling, which it very well could be because I'm quite intoxicated, then let me know and...you know, stuff will happen.

After converting Handmaiden to Jedi Guardian, what do you do in the secret academy
I'm stuck on this one part
I got the Handmaiden to convert to a Jedi Guardian, but then I'm sent back to the Secret Academy on Telos all alone without anyone else there. I have no access to the turbolift and I can't board my ship. I think it might be a bug. It's after the part where Kreia says :betrayal:. I just want to get out of that place.
Thanks.
